Resume Scanner: The Text an ATS Actually Parses

This resume scanner shows the plain text a machine pulls out of your file. Upload your PDF or DOCX to see it in reading order, which sections were recognized, and where columns, tables or icons may confuse an applicant tracking system.

✓ Parsed text, not just a score✓ Fixes ranked by points✓ File stays in your browser

Upload your resume (PDF or DOCX)

Read in your browser. Never uploaded to a server.

Add a job description (optional: shows your keyword gap)

Why the parsed text matters

Recruiters search the ATS database by keyword. If your skills are in a sidebar that gets merged into another line, or your email is in a footer that gets skipped, a search may not find you even when you are a good fit.

What gets lost: tables, columns, headers, icons

This scanner reads a PDF row by row, left to right, like a simple parser. If your resume has two columns, you will see lines from both columns merged. That is a strong sign to switch to one column.

PDF vs. DOCX

A text-based PDF or a DOCX both work. A scanned PDF (a picture of a page) has no text layer, so an ATS sees almost nothing. Export from your editor instead of scanning a printout.

FAQ

Why does my resume look different in the scanner?

The scanner shows plain text in reading order. If sections are missing or out of order, an ATS may read them the same way.

Is my resume uploaded or stored?

No. Your file is read in your browser and this prototype runs every check on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, stored or used to train models.

Does it cost anything?

Checks, your score, the top 5 fixes and the parsed-text view cost nothing and need no account. Pro features are marked with a lock.
